An anonymous correspondent has suggested this spelling variant  of Darren [q.v.] is Welsh.

Various US websites include it. It may be Welsh meaning "burnt land or hill", a variant of Darren which is English or Irish, possibly meaning "great", or it may be Hebrew, meaning "bird" or Greek, meaning "gift". The ONC entry for Darren says it is from an Irish surname of unknown origin and does not include Darron as an alternate spelling
