While very rare, Sueton occurs sometimes the Grant family lineage, mainly in Morayshire & Inverness-shire, Scotland, in the late 18^th and early 19^th centuries. (Reported by a correspondent [LL].)

The name appears to be derived from the family name of Julius Suetonius [c.100BC - c.45BC].
