Notes:

German, from the 17th century, "God's love".

Theophilus, from Greek, was recorded as the baptismal second name of Wolfgang Mozart [1756 – 1791] who preferred to use the Latin version, Amadeus. It is possible that the middle name was intended to be the German Gottlieb but was recorded in the Greek form. All three names have the same meaning.
